Santa Cruz Regional Hospital Closure

Santa Cruz Valley Regional Hospital located in Green Valley has closed effective June 30, 2022.

 

It has been confirmed that there were no Arizona Complete Health members receiving inpatient care at the hospital as of June 30, 2022.

 

Santa Cruz outpatient hospital prior authorizations with an approved end date of July 1, 2022 and after were updated to reflect an end date of June 30, 2022.  If you need a prior authorization for an outpatient hospital service you for which you previously referred to Santa Cruz Hospital, please submit an updated request to an alternative facility for dates of service July 1, 2022, and after.   

 

The closest alternative hospitals in Pima County include:

·         Banner University South

·         St. Mary’s

·         Northwest Medical Center Sahuarita

 

The hospital closure does not impact the Santa Cruz Valley Physicians Group.
